Minimum Requirements for Instrument Mechanician Jobs
To qualify for this mining artisan opportunity, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate with N2 Technical Studies
- Qualified Artisan Trade Test as an Instrument Mechanician

Required Work Experience for Mining Instrumentation Jobs

- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in process control instrumentation

Key Responsibilities of an Instrument Mechanician at Ivanplats

Maintenance and Repair Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation systems
- Repair and maintain control gear and plant instrumentation equipment

- Service sensors, transmitters, actuators, and control systems
Calibration and Diagnostics
- Perform calibration and testing of instrumentation equipment

- Maintain accurate calibration and maintenance records
Installation and Commissioning
