Minimum Requirements for Boilermaker Mining Jobs
To qualify for this underground mining artisan position, candidates must possess the following:
Grade 12, N3, or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
Relevant Boilermaker Trade Certificate
Coded Welder qualification will be advantageous
First Aid Level 1 Certificate
Basic Firefighting Training certification

Key Responsibilities of an Underground Artisan Boilermaker

Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings
Determine the location, dimensions, and positioning of mechanical structures
Lay out and assemble prefabricated structural components

Welding and Repair Responsibilities
Perform welding and cutting using gas torches and welding equipment
