Available Portable Skills Training Programmes
The following skills development opportunities are available through the Human Resources Development department at Ivanplats Mine:
Driver’s License Training Programme
This programme assists candidates in obtaining driving skills and improving employability opportunities across multiple industries.
FETC National Certificate: Pest Control Operations
Qualification Number: 57830
This accredited programme provides practical and theoretical training in pest control operations, health standards, and environmental safety.
FETC National Certificate: Building and Civil Construction
This programme equips learners with construction and infrastructure development skills required in the building and civil engineering sectors.
Training Programme Duration
The duration of each programme depends on the qualification or unit standards associated with the selected training course.
- Minimum training duration is three months
- Some programmes may run longer depending on the total qualification credits

Minimum Requirements for Skills Training Programme
Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify:
- Must reside within communities affected by Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd operations
- Must currently be unemployed
- Must have good written and verbal English communication skills
- Must pass medical fitness requirements where applicable
- Must not have a criminal record
