Artisan Electrical Heavy Current Job Overview
Eskom is currently recruiting for a skilled Artisan Electrical Heavy Current professional to join the Maintenance Department at Koeberg Power Station in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities
As an Artisan Electrical Heavy Current, your primary duties will include:
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment according to established procedures
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensure minimal downtime
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to operational improvements
- Ensuring equipment care, proper usage, and maintenance of tools
- Upholding personal and plant safety standards at all times
- Supporting compliance with electrical and safety regulations in a high-risk environment
This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this Artisan Electrical Heavy Current position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Matric / N3 qualification
- Trade Certificate (NQF Level 4) with a minimum of 120 credits
- Completion of relevant practical training in electrical maintenance or heavy current systems
