About the Plant Operator Jobs
WBHO is currently recruiting Plant Operators to join its construction teams. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience operating heavy machinery and want to work on major infrastructure projects.
As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining construction equipment safely and efficiently. Your role will be important in ensuring that projects are completed on time and according to required standards.
This is a practical, hands-on job that requires focus, responsibility, and a strong understanding of safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your duties may include:
• Operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, graders, loaders, or dump trucks
• Conducting daily equipment inspections before use
• Ensuring machinery is used safely and according to company procedures
• Assisting with loading, lifting, and moving materials on-site
• Reporting any faults or mechanical issues to supervisors
• Performing basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Following all health and safety regulations on-site
• Working closely with site supervisors and other team members
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
• Grade 10 or Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid plant operator certificates or licenses (depending on machinery)
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery (construction or mining environment preferred)
• Knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites
