The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) is inviting applications for Data Capturers and Examination Assistants for the 2026 TVET Colleges marking centres. These opportunities are available at Tshwane South TVET College, Centurion Campus.

Data Capturer Jobs 2026 – TVET Colleges
Overview
Applications are open for Data Capturers to assist during the marking period. Preference will be given to candidates who have not previously worked as data capturers.
Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric) or Level 4 NC(V)
• Must be a South African citizen with proof of residence
• Must not be a registered TVET college student
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
• Computer literacy and understanding of data systems
• High-speed typing with strong accuracy
Key Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to manage and organize data
• High level of confidentiality
Responsibilities
• Capturing and verifying marks into the system
• Maintaining accurate filing systems
• Performing data quality checks
Examination Assistant Jobs 2026 – TVET Colleges
Overview
The DHET is also recruiting Examination Assistants to support marking processes at TVET colleges.
Requirements
• Must be a college/university graduate (preference for former TVET students)
• Must not be a registered TVET student
• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be under 35 years of age
• Must live near the marking centre
• Must not be currently employed
Additional Notes
• College staff such as IT personnel, cleaners, and photocopier operators may apply
• Shortlisted candidates must have a Google account
• Online assessments will be conducted
