Salary
The successful candidate will receive a basic salary ranging from R438 804 to R601 956 per year, plus additional municipal benefits.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Accredited Electrician Trade Test Certificate
• Knowledge of Municipal Electrical Distribution Networks
• Valid Code C1 driver’s license with PrDP
• 2 years relevant work experience
• 1 year practical apprenticeship
Candidates may also be required to provide proof of the NQF level of their qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
The appointed Electrician will be responsible for a variety of electrical infrastructure tasks, including:
• Installation and commissioning of LV, MV, and HV electrical equipment
• Maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of electrical distribution networks
• Inspection, maintenance, and replacement of LPU electricity meters
• Maintenance of current and voltage transformer connected meters
• Electrical wiring maintenance for substations and energy distribution buildings
• Performing general duties for the Artisan Test Electrician
• Ensuring compliance with OHS Act safety regulations
• Performing administrative and operational tasks to support service delivery
• Maintaining high work ethics and productivity
