Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for six Earthmoving Mechanic Apprentices to join the Equipment division in Bartlett, Gauteng. This apprenticeship programme is designed to develop and train learners to ensure a strong pipeline of qualified and skilled earthmoving mechanics aligned with industry requirements.
Successful candidates will receive structured theoretical and practical training while gaining hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and heavy equipment repair environments.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science above 50%
• N2 Certificate from a TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) or FET College including:
• Mathematics
• Diesel Trade Theory
• Engineering Drawings
• Engineering Science
• Experience in a vehicle maintenance environment (advantageous)
• Willingness to complete both theoretical and practical training within the specified duration
• Ability to travel to various sites across South Africa
Key Responsibilities
• Assist qualified artisans with repairs and servicing of earthmoving equipment
• Support workshop activities and attend breakdowns in the field
• Contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture within the workplace
• Carry out reasonable instructions from Team Leaders
• Participate actively in both practical and theoretical training components
