1. Social Work Intern (16 Posts)

Location: SAPS Academies (Eastern Cape, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng)

Reference Numbers: HRD INT 1-8/2025/26

Minimum Requirements:

• BA Social Work Degree (NQF 6 or higher)

• Registered with SACSSP (2025/2026 paid-up)

• Qualification recorded on NLRD

• Computer literacy (MS Word and PowerPoint advantageous)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational social work services

• Implement preventative and restorative interventions

• Promote employee wellbeing

• Work under supervision of a qualified Social Worker

2. Psychologist / Trauma Counsellor Intern (13 Posts)

Location: SAPS Academies Nationwide

Reference Numbers: HRD INT 9-16/2025/26

Minimum Requirements:

• Honours or B Psych Degree in Psychology

• Registered with HPCSA (Psychometrist or Registered Counsellor)

• Valid 2025/2026 registration proof

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counselling and trauma debriefing

• Facilitate Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) programmes

• Support SAPS members and their families

• Conduct organisational diagnosis services

3. Crime Intelligence Analyst Intern (8 Posts)

Location: Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, North West, Western Cape

Reference Numbers: CI/FS 1-CI/WC 8/2025/26

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in:

• Sociology

• Criminology

• Political Science

• NQF 6 or higher qualification

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse crime intelligence data

• Generate threat and risk assessments

• Compile intelligence reports

4. Internal Audit Intern (9 Posts)

Location: All Provinces

Reference Numbers: IA INT 01-09/2025/26

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in:

• Internal Audit

• BCom Accounting

• Financial Management

• Cost and Management Accounting

• IT / Information Systems

• NQF 6 or higher

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments

• Execute audit programmes

• Compile audit reports

• Assist on TeamMate Audit System

5. Risk Management Practitioner Intern (2 Posts)

Location: Head Office, Pretoria

Reference Number: RIM INT 01/2025/26

Qualification:

• Diploma or Degree in Risk Management, Internal Auditing, Finance, or Business Continuity Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementation of Risk Management Framework

• Support Business Continuity Planning

• Facilitate risk assessments and reporting

6. Integrity Management Practitioner Intern (2 Posts)

Location: Head Office, Pretoria

Reference Number: RIM INT 02/2025/26

Qualification:

• Diploma or Degree in Public Administration, HR, Law, Risk Management, Forensic Investigation, or Policing

Key Responsibilities:

• Process financial disclosures and ethics applications

• Assist with integrity assessments and investigations

• Compile investigation reports

• Support ethics and compliance programmes

Generic Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be South African citizens aged 18-35

• Have a Grade 12 (Matric)

• Be unemployed

• Never participated in a relevant internship

• Have no criminal record

• Apply for a maximum of three posts

• Submit a separate application per reference number
