Cargo Carriers (Pty) Limited is currently recruiting three (3) Artisan Assistants on a permanent basis at its Sasolburg branch in the Free State. Successful candidates will report directly to the Manager: Technical Training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful Artisan Assistant candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
• Maintenance and repair of vehicles in line with company and manufacturer standards and specifications
• Maintaining safe working procedures and addressing environmental issues within the planned maintenance programme
• Assisting the diesel mechanic as and when required
• Ensuring full compliance with SHEQ requirements and applicable legislation
• Visiting breakdown and accident sites when requested
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are available and ready for use
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards within the workshop
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:
• Grade 12 / Standard 10 certificate
• Code 08 or Code 14 driver’s licence (advantageous)
• Minimum of 2–3 years mechanical experience in a similar role
• Basic knowledge of vehicles and trailing equipment will be an added advantage

• Strong attention to detail
• High level of motivation and drive to perform
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively
• Willingness to work in a technical and workshop environment
