The purpose of the Shop Assistant / Cashier P27 role is to deliver an exceptional customer shopping experience through effective customer service, stock replenishment, merchandising, housekeeping, and the accurate processing of transactions at till points.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Assist customers in locating products and merchandise
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
Cashier Duties
• Process cash and card transactions accurately
• Handle lay-by transactions and customer refunds
• Balance tills and report discrepancies to the supervisor
• Identify and report till-related issues promptly
Merchandising and Housekeeping
• Ensure products are correctly priced and neatly displayed
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep the store clean and organised
• Stay updated on current promotions and campaigns
Risk and Loss Prevention
• Ensure merchandise is tagged according to company policy
• Participate in stock takes
• Monitor and report shoplifting, fraud, or suspicious behaviour to management
