Job Overview
Premier is currently recruiting a Sales Assistant to be based at the Premier Vereeniging Bakery in Gauteng. The successful candidate will assist the Salesman Driver with daily deliveries, product handling, customer service, and cash collection where applicable. This role is ideal for a target-driven individual who performs well in a fast-paced FMCG environment operating 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Salesman Driver with daily delivery of Premier products
• Check and verify products according to the loading sheet and sign accordingly
• Ensure adherence to standard departure times
• Take responsibility for vehicle safety, cleanliness, and hygiene
• Collect customer payments and ensure daily cashing up where applicable
• Offload products at customer premises
• Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the Transport Department and Service Manager
Minimum Requirements
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification
• 1–2 years’ experience in the FMCG industry
• Valid Driver’s License Code 10 / C1 with PDP

Working Conditions
• High-pressure work environment
• Six-day work week
• Required to work weekends and public holidays according to a shift roster
• May be required to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including night shifts
