Job Overview

Eskom is inviting applications for the position of Senior Artisan Electrical Heavy Current at the Ingula Pumped Storage Scheme within the Peaking Operating Unit (Generation). This permanent role is suited for an experienced electrical artisan responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment across residential and commercial properties.

Position: Senior Artisan Electrical Heavy Current (X1)

Task Grade: T10

Area of Specialisation: Electrical maintenance and repair of residential and commercial properties

Business Unit: Peaking Operating Unit

Location: Ingula Pumped Storage Scheme, Besters, Ladysmith

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including addressing recurring defects

• Conduct quality control inspections on completed work

• Provide on-the-job training to relevant personnel

• Investigate and resolve recurring electrical defects

• Assist, guide, and advise relevant staff

• Attend meetings as required

• Perform any other legitimate duties related to the role
