Job Overview

Eskom is currently recruiting a qualified Artisan: Fitting & Turning for its Palmiet Power Station under the Peaking Operating Unit. This permanent position is ideal for a skilled artisan with experience in maintaining and repairing plant equipment within a power generation environment.

Task Grade: T09

Business Unit: Generation

Area of Specialisation: Plant maintenance and repairs

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in line with safety regulations and maintenance plans

• Investigate unresolved and recurring equipment defects

• Conduct on-the-job training where required

• Ensure proper equipment care and personal safety compliance

• Carry out quality control inspections on completed work and equipment

• Attend meetings and perform ad hoc maintenance activities
