Gold One Group Limited is recruiting an Assistant General Underground (Grading A) to join the Gedex Division within the Mining Business Unit. This is an excellent entry-level mining opportunity for candidates looking to start a career in the Mining and Metals sector in Gauteng.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 10, 11 or equivalent ABET Level qualification
• MQA Competency B Certificate
• Ability to communicate in English
• Fluency in any of the 11 official South African languages
• Strong adaptability in a fast-paced and changing mining environment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Willingness and ability to work underground
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• South African Citizenship (compulsory)
• Clear criminal record
• Must be declared medically fit by the Occupational Health Centre
Key Responsibilities
• Work on a scheduled rotation of shifts
• Perform duties safely and according to training received at the training centre
• Monitor the condition of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with company standards
• Report any issues that may delay or obstruct work
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment in line with housekeeping procedures
• Follow all relevant Health and Safety policies when working underground
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor as required
