Job Overview
A great opportunity exists for a dedicated Assistant General Worker to join the operations team in Gauteng. This short-term role is perfect for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious and eager to gain hands-on experience in an operational environment.
The main purpose of the position is to provide general site support, assist operational teams with daily tasks, and ensure work areas remain compliant, clean and safe.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with site teams to help achieve operational goals and daily targets
• Perform routine inspections within your designated work area and report any hazards, risks or deviations immediately
• Assist with pipeline and valve operations under supervision from experienced team members
• Help identify and resolve minor operational challenges, escalating any concerns to the site team when needed
• Support various general site activities assigned to you to ensure smooth operational workflows
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment through basic housekeeping duties
• Complete all assigned tasks according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Adhere strictly to company safety rules, operational regulations and compliance guidelines
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification
Experience
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar environment
