Overview

Gold One Group Limited is seeking an experienced TMM Electrician to join the Project Gedex team in Brakpan. The successful candidate will be responsible for fault-finding, maintenance, and repair of Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) in a demanding underground mining environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10, 11, or Matric with N2 or an equivalent qualification

• Section 13 / 26 Electrical Trade Test from a recognised institution

• 3+ years of experience as a TMM Electrician in a mining environment

• Knowledge of the following machinery is advantageous:

• Sandvik equipment

• CAT Back/Front Loader

• Manitou, Fermel machinery

• Dozers (CAT)

• Sandvik Drill Rigs and Bolters

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently

• Proficient in English (additional SA languages beneficial)

• In-depth knowledge of TMM electrical procedures, policies, and safety standards

• South African citizenship

• Clear criminal record

Key Responsibilities

• Work according to a shift cycle

• Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on TMM equipment

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on all Trackless Mining Machinery

• Create rough sketches, conduct pre-planning, estimate job costs, and report to supervisor

• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical components and systems

• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and perform detailed fault analysis

• Maintain equipment and areas of responsibility to required standards

• Perform preventive maintenance on switchgear and transformers

• Ensure all machinery fire suppression systems, alarms, and electrical emergency systems remain operational at all times
