RCL Foods is offering an exciting 12-month Learnership Program designed to give young professionals practical exposure to the baking industry while developing their skills through mentorship and coaching. This is a SETA-accredited learnership, and successful candidates will receive a formal qualification endorsed by SAQA, providing an excellent foundation for a career in the food and baking sector.
The learnership program is conducted through the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy and focuses on three main areas of purpose:
1. Skills Development: The program nurtures and develops individual learners, creating employable young professionals equipped with the knowledge and experience needed in the baking industry.
2. Brand Excellence: Learners will gain exposure to RCL Foods’ baking brands, understanding best practices in product quality, consistency, and customer service.
3. Industry Leadership: The program aims to raise the standard of bakery products in stores and professional settings, changing consumer perceptions and strengthening customer relationships.
During the program, learners will engage in practical work as required by RCL Foods and SETA to complete their qualification successfully. This hands-on experience will help participants understand the baking process, learn industry-standard techniques, and develop professional skills that will serve them throughout their careers.
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 qualification with Hospitality Studies and Mathematics (Literacy) is essential
• Computer literacy, especially in MS Office, is advantageous
• Demonstrates drive to achieve and perform well
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take on challenges
• Creative, with lateral thinking and a problem-solving mindset
