Are you a qualified Red Seal Electrician looking for a stable, full-time opportunity in the manufacturing sector? A leading processing plant in Camperdown is recruiting an experienced and reliable Electrician to join their operations team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong maintenance skills, fault-finding abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Starting up and running the processing plant
• Performing equipment maintenance and electrical repairs
• Diagnosing and resolving faults (fault finding)
• Ordering spares and following up on outstanding orders
• Attending to daily breakdowns within the processing plant
• Supporting and implementing continuous improvement programmes (20 Keys)
• Maintaining compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must have:
• Qualified Electrician (Red Seal) – essential
• Minimum 2 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge and experience working with PLCs
• Experience with MEYN evisceration equipment (advantageous)
• Computer literacy – MS Office
• Ammonia plant experience (advantageous)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• Strong initiative, the ability to work in a multi-skilled environment, and a willingness to learn
• Excellent administrative, organisational, time management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must be willing to work overtime, shifts, and standby as required
• Fluent in English; an additional language will be an added advantage
