Job Overview
Gold One Group Limited seeks an Assistant Electrical candidate to support electrical artisans within its Modder East mining operation. This role is suited for individuals with entry-level electrical experience who want to grow within the mining industry. The position involves hands-on support, equipment maintenance, and compliance with all safety standards on site.

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 10, 11, 12 or an equivalent qualification
• N2 in Electrical Engineering (advantageous)
• 1–2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering in a mining or industrial environment (essential)
• Proficiency in English and any other official South African language
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
• Good verbal communication skills
• Studying toward an Electrical Engineering Trade (advantageous)
• South African citizenship
• Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities
• Work according to a cycle or rotational shift schedule
• Assist electrical artisans with daily duties, tool handling, and general support
• Maintain and safeguard tools, equipment, and hand tools
• Disassemble and reassemble electrical components and equipment using hand tools
• Thread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate conduit support brackets
• Inspect electrical equipment for loose connections, broken insulation, and perform tightening where needed
• Ensure adherence to mine standards, procedures, and best practices
