About the Role
Fidelity Services Group is seeking a dedicated Installation Assistant Technician to support our technical team in the installation of advanced security systems. Minimum Requirements
• Education: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Wireman
• Knowledge: Basic electrical/electronic understanding (advantageous)
• Certification: PSIRA Grade C (advantageous)
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain strong attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Technician with installing, testing, and commissioning security systems, including alarms, CCTV, and access control
• Help remove old equipment and install new systems at client sites
• Run new cables, drill holes, mount detectors, panels, contacts, and lights
• Identify and report any equipment or tool shortfalls to the Technician
• Ensure all installation areas are left clean and organized after job completion
• Support handovers and user demonstrations when required
Core Purpose
To support the Installation Technician in carrying out high-quality installations of alarm systems and related security infrastructure. The Assistant Technician should be able to perform basic installations independently, including connecting detectors, panels, powering up systems, and conducting walk tests.
