RCL Foods is looking for a qualified and experienced Fitter and Turner to join their Milling Division in Pretoria West.
The purpose of this role is to perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure all machines run smoothly, operate efficiently, and remain in top physical condition.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, you’ll need the following:
• N3 Mechanical Engineering qualification plus a Trade Test as a Fitter and Turner
• Strong knowledge of welding, cutting, compressors, conveyor belts, and milling machinery
• Skilled in manufacturing spare parts using lathe and milling machines
• Ability to communicate clearly at all levels
• Organised and systematic approach to work
• Strong ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in report writing and analysis
• Experience in mentoring apprentices
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
• Performing routine preventive maintenance to keep machines in excellent working condition
• Inspecting drives, motors, belts, bearings, and replacing filters when needed
• Complying with food safety standards (FMCG experience is an added advantage)
• Assembling, installing, and repairing pipe systems, plumbing, and machinery
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations
• Diagnosing and correcting mechanical faults
• Testing and operating equipment to identify and fix malfunctions
• Training and guiding apprentices and other staff on mechanical systems
• Recording maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
• Cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other machine components
• Being available for shift work, standby, and call-outs when required
