About the Programme
The Trainee Development Programme is designed to provide hands-on learning and exposure in a mining environment. As a Boilermaker Trainee, you’ll gain practical experience assisting qualified artisans with the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of metal structures and mining equipment.
This structured 90-day training programme will give you valuable technical knowledge, workplace discipline, and professional experience to help launch your mining career.
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
• Successful completion of a Dover test for operator suitability
Advantageous:
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Previous exposure to an engineering or technical environment
• Additional technical or vocational training beyond Grade 12
Important Information:
• The programme runs for a maximum of 90 days
• Trainees are expected to demonstrate competency within this period
• Permanent employment is not guaranteed, but may be considered based on performance and available vacancies
• Participants will receive a stipend during training
• Internal employees are welcome to apply if they wish to change career paths
• Shortlisted candidates will undergo an LPCat Assessment
• No extensions beyond the 90-day programme will be permitted
