Astral, a leading South African integrated poultry producer, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Assistant at County Fair’s Primary Processing Plant in Fisantekraal. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining electrical systems, ensuring smooth production flow, and upholding health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine electrical maintenance on processing equipment.
• Attend to breakdowns and unscheduled interruptions efficiently.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of processing equipment, including over weekends when required.
• Adhere to 20 Keys principles, safety protocols, and general housekeeping standards.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 or N2 qualification in Electrical Engineering (essential).
• Prior experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within a Poultry Processing or Rendering Plant will be a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to maintenance issues.
• Basic knowledge of the 20 Keys concept.
• Must be able to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
