Rand Water is seeking a dedicated Artisan Assistant – Electrical to provide daily support to the Artisan in performing electrical maintenance and repairs. The successful candidate will carry out all assigned tasks safely and ensure efficient operation of tools, equipment, and work areas.
Minimum Requirements
• Matric (Grade 12).
• N3 qualification (advantageous but not essential).
• Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar working environment.
• Basic ability to perform minor electrical repairs.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Artisan with daily maintenance and repair tasks.
• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to designated work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and the work area after tasks are completed.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to safety standards.
• Support the Artisan and Workshop Assistant with job-related duties.
• Collect and deliver spares or materials from stores when required.
• Conduct plant inspections and report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor or Artisan.
Knowledge Required
• Basic safety awareness and understanding of workplace hazards.
• Ability to recognize and correctly use various electrical tools.
• Understanding of safe working procedures.
