About the Role
FNB is looking for a Plumber’s Assistant (Assistant Artisan) to support artisans with repairs, installations, inspections, and preventative maintenance. You’ll help ensure that tools, materials, and supplies are available, while assisting with plumbing work to keep water and waste systems running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Assist plumbers with installations, inspections, fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Prepare materials, fetch supplies, and check deliveries.
- Identify hazards, defects, and repair needs while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of work.
- Support smooth operations by reporting problems promptly and working proactively.
- Adhere to policies on hygiene, teamwork, respect, and timekeeping.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Handyman course or related qualification will be an advantage.
