AECI Mining is hiring six (6) Senior Process Assistants for our Sasolburg plant. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in chemical production or process operations to join a leading player in the mining and chemicals industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist process controllers in daily plant operations
• Prepare the plant for start-up and initiate operations
• Monitor, maintain, and shut down plant processes as needed
• Control and supervise equipment within operational scope
• Operate Pellet Mills and other plant machinery
• Conduct routine cleaning and housekeeping
• Prepare plant for scheduled maintenance and reinstate systems afterward
• Execute authorized maintenance tasks
• Measure, mix, and dose chemicals accurately
• Draw samples and perform quality testing
• Package finished products for shipment
• Respond to fires and emergencies as a first line of defense
• Perform other related duties as required
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 with Mathematics and Science (compulsory)
• NQF Level 2 in Plant Operation (advantageous)
• At least 1 year experience in a chemical production environment
• A Chemical Engineering diploma or related qualification will be a significant advantage
• Must be physically and mentally fit
