The Mopani District Municipality, in collaboration with the Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority (LGSETA), invites unemployed South African youth to apply for its 2025 Learnership Programme Intake. This is an excellent opportunity for young people between the ages of 18 and 35 to gain valuable skills, work experience, and a nationally recognized qualification, while earning a monthly stipend.
There are 200 funded learnership opportunities available across two key development areas:
Available Learnership Programmes for 2025:
1. Local Economic Development (LED) Learnership – 100 Positions Available
This programme is designed to empower youth with knowledge and practical skills in stimulating and supporting local economic activities and community development.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
• Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Certified copy of your South African ID (clear copy of both sides)
• Certified copy of your Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Proven competency in:
• Communication / English at NQF Level 4
• Basic knowledge of project management principles
2. Water and Wastewater Process Control Learnership – 100 Positions Available
This programme focuses on building technical skills in the water and wastewater treatment industry, contributing to sustainable water management in local communities.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
• Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Certified copy of your South African ID (clear copy of both sides)
• Certified copy of your Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Proven competency in:
• Communication / English at NQF Level 2
• Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 2
• Computer Literacy at NQF Level 2
