Position Overview

Eskom, through the National Transmission Company South Africa, is offering exciting opportunities in its Artisan Training Programme. This structured 3-year programme is designed to provide theoretical training and practical work experience in the field of Electrical Engineering. Upon successful completion, candidates will have the opportunity to complete their trade test certification.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following:

• Grade 12 (Matric) with:

• Mathematics: 50%

• Physical Science: 50%

• English: 40%

OR

• N3 Certificate in Engineering with:

• English: 40%

OR

• NCV Level 4 with:

• Mathematics: 50%

• Physical Science: 50%

• English: 40%

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• High levels of motivation and drive

• Strong safety awareness

• Self-discipline and conscientiousness

• Responsibility and commitment to the programme

• Emotional resilience under pressure

• Basic computer literacy

Key Responsibilities

• Complete both institutional training and on-the-job training

• Gain practical exposure to electrical systems and maintenance

• Comply with safety standards and company policies

• Work towards achieving the national trade test certification
