Job Overview

AECI Mining is seeking to appoint seven (7) Operations Assistants to support MMU (Mobile Manufacturing Unit) operations in Emalahleni. The successful candidates will assist MMU Controllers in ensuring efficient and compliant on-site explosives delivery, according to company and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist MMU Controller in operating and maintaining mobile manufacturing units (MMU – BLEND trucks).

• Conduct routine inspections of MMUs and fixed plants as per SABS and World Class Standards.

• Support all blasting-related activities including:

• Measuring blast holes

• Stemming and closing charged holes

• Guarding and cleaning blast areas

• Perform general site housekeeping duties, including:

• Wash bay, truck park, and truck cleanliness

• Loading/unloading of explosive products and accessories

• Adhere to all depot legal and safety requirements.

• Maintain MMUs according to World Class cleanliness standards.

• Display ability to work independently and safely in hazardous environments.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate

• Code B (light motor vehicle) driver’s licence

• Proven knowledge of safe working practices

• Basic product knowledge and hazardous material handling

• Must be able to obtain a Red Ticket (medical fitness clearance)
