Position: Artisan Assistant – Rigging
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Artisan Assistant in Rigging to join our operations team. This role offers a great opportunity to gain practical experience in a technically demanding mining environment.
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
• Rigging-related certification or training (advantageous)
• Good command of English (verbal and written)
• Strong understanding of safety procedures
Experience Required:
• At least 1 year of experience in a mining or industrial environment
• Exposure to lifting equipment, rigging operations, or heavy machinery assistance
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Riggers with lifting, securing, and moving heavy loads
• Help in setting up rigging equipment and gear
• Maintain cleanliness and order of rigging tools and areas
• Follow safety procedures and assist with inspections
• Demonstrate discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail
