About the Company:
Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd is developing a next-generation, state-of-the-art palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold mine in Limpopo, using cutting-edge mechanised underground mining methods. We’re building the “mine of the future”, and we’re looking for skilled and passionate individuals to join us.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Artisan Assistant Fitter to support our mechanical team in maintaining and servicing mining equipment and systems.
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
• Mechanical or engineering-related studies (advantageous)
• Basic understanding of tools, safety, and mechanical systems
• Good communication skills in English (verbal & written)
Experience:
• At least 1 year experience in an industrial or mining environment
• Familiarity with mechanical maintenance tasks and tools
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Fitters in installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment
• Support with daily inspections and mechanical fault finding
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Adhere to company safety and operational standards
• Demonstrate effective teamwork and self-management
