Electrician (Limited Duration Contract) – Tweefontein, Mpumalanga
Introduction
We are seeking a qualified Electrician for a Limited Duration Contract at our Tweefontein, Mpumalanga site. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical machinery, pipework, alignment, balancing, keyways, gears, hydraulics, and pneumatics according to industry standards and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Trade Test Certification (Electrician) or Tertiary Qualification in Engineering
Experience & Skills:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrician
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Experience in plant optimization, equipment protection parameters, and simulations
• Ability to diagnose and distinguish between Control & Instrumentation (C&I) and Electrical faults
• Knowledge of switchgear systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Strong fault-finding, maintenance, and repair skills
Key Responsibilities
• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform trade-related maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Fault Diagnosis: Identify and differentiate between electrical and C&I faults, ensuring efficient troubleshooting.
• System Inspections: Conduct regular plant inspections and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.
• Breakdown Response: Attend to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and perform quick and effective repairs.
• Equipment Optimization: Ensure all valves, machinery, and components meet engineering quality standards.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventative measures.
