Eskom Learner Plant Operator x7 Programme 2026
Eskom is offering 7 Learner Plant Operator opportunities at Kendal Power Station in Mpumalanga. The learning programme is aimed at candidates who want to gain practical experience in a power station operating environment while developing technical and workplace skills.
Successful candidates will receive institutionalised training and on-the-job training as part of the Eskom learning programme.
Learner Plant Operator Programme Details
The successful candidates will be placed within the Operating Department at Kendal Power Station.
The programme provides an opportunity to gain practical workplace exposure within Eskom Operations and develop knowledge and skills relevant to plant operations.
Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will go through Eskom’s recruitment process. Successful candidates may be placed in Eskom Operations across different divisions.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be South African citizens and meet at least one of the listed qualification routes.
Grade 12 / Matric
Applicants with Grade 12 must have achieved:
- Mathematics: 50%
- Physical Science: 50%
- English: 40%
N3 Certificate
Applicants with an N3 qualification must have:
- Mathematics: 50%
- Science: 50%
- English: 40%
NCV Level 4
Applicants with NCV Level 4 must have:
- Mathematics: 50%
- Science: 50%

National N4/N5 Certificate
