About the Role
As a Senior Plant Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Camden Power Station. The successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring plant equipment, conducting routine inspections, preparing equipment for service, and maintaining high operational and safety standards.
This role is ideal for candidates who have experience working in fossil power plants and are looking to advance their careers with one of South Africa’s leading electricity providers.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
Performing routine plant inspections and operational checks.
Preparing plant equipment for service.
Carrying out daily plant operating activities.
Monitoring plant performance and reporting defects.
Following Eskom’s operating procedures and safety regulations.
Assisting as part of the fire and rescue team when required.
Maintaining accurate operational records.
Supporting efficient and reliable plant operations.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
Grade 12 or N3 with Mathematics and Science.
NQF Level 4 National Certificate in Fossil Power Plant.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Learner Plant Operator or Plant Operator.
