About the Role
The Artisan Armature Winder (Rotor Section) is responsible for maintaining, repairing, stripping, rewinding, refurbishing, and assembling turbo generators and related electrical equipment. The successful candidates will help ensure that Eskom’s generator systems operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the company’s quality standards.
This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety while working in a highly skilled maintenance environment.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A Trade Test as an Armature Winder or another recognised Electrical Trade.
- An equivalent qualification recognised by the Government of South Africa.
- At least two (2) years’ relevant post-qualification experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of generators and associated electrical equipment.
- The ability to work independently and within a team.
Previous experience in industrial electrical maintenance or generator refurbishment will be advantageous.
