Job Overview
Meadow Feeds, Africa’s leading supplier of innovative animal feed solutions, is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join its maintenance team in Paarl, Western Cape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining plant electrical systems, conducting preventative and breakdown maintenance, and ensuring the reliable operation of electrical equipment within the production environment.
This role is ideal for a skilled electrician with industrial maintenance experience who is passionate about reliability, safety, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
- Perform effective maintenance of plant electrical equipment with a reliability-focused approach
- Conduct scheduled preventative and safety maintenance on production equipment
- Attend to electrical breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently
- Install electrical equipment and assist with maintenance projects when required
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults within the production plant
Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times
- Ensure compliance with:
- ISO standards
- HACCP requirements
- 20 Keys systems
- Astral Code of Ethics
- Company management systems and procedures
General Duties
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Support production continuity through effective maintenance practices
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams
- Participate in standby duties and overtime when required
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Qualified Electrician with a minimum N3 Certificate
- Completed apprenticeship with a valid Trade Test Certificate
- Wireman’s License will be advantageous
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience in a production environment
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems
- Previous experience in an animal feed manufacturing plant will be advantageous
Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills
- Electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills
- Basic PLC knowledge and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to install and maintain industrial electrical systems
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
