Stores Learnership Overview
Truworths is offering an exciting Stores Learnership Programme for 2026, aimed at individuals who are passionate about retail, customer service, and fashion.
This programme provides hands-on experience in a retail environment, allowing learners to develop practical skills in sales, merchandising, and customer engagement.
Successful candidates will be cross-trained to work on both the sales floor and service desk, preparing them for future opportunities in the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service and Sales
- Assist customers with finding merchandise and making purchases
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships
- Support sales activities on the shop floor
Store Operations
- Maintain store merchandising according to MBP principles
- Assist with stock handling and stock control
- Help reduce stock losses and maintain store standards
POS and Administration
- Process payments and purchases using the POS system
- Assist customers with opening new accounts
- Ensure accurate transaction handling
Learning and Development
- Complete a minimum of 120 working hours
- Participate in training, learning modules, and logbooks
- Prepare for and complete assessments
- Gain practical retail experience and product knowledge
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Minimum Grade 10
Skills and Competencies
- Interest in fashion and retail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the programme
- Customer-focused attitude
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to completing the full learnership programme
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends if required
- Attention to detail and responsibility in handling stock and cash
