Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10, 11, or 12 (or equivalent qualification)
• N2 in Engineering Studies (Electrical) will be advantageous
• 1-2 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering within a mining or industrial environment (required)
• Good communication skills in English and any other official South African language
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Studying towards an Electrical Engineering Trade (advantageous)
• South African citizenship
• Clear criminal record

Key Responsibilities

• Work shifts based on a cycle or rotation schedule
• Assist Artisan(s) with electrical duties and daily operations
• Carry tools, equipment, and provide general support
• Maintain and safeguard tools and equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble electrical components using hand tools
• Install and support conduit systems, including threading and securing brackets
• Inspect electrical units for faults such as loose connections or damaged insulation
• Maintain work areas according to mine standards and procedures
• Comply with the Mine Health and Safety Act and company safety regulations
