Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10, 11, or 12 (or equivalent qualification)
- N2 in Engineering Studies (Electrical) will be advantageous
- 1-2 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering within a mining or industrial environment (required)
- Good communication skills in English and any other official South African language
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Studying towards an Electrical Engineering Trade (advantageous)
- South African citizenship
- Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities
- Work shifts based on a cycle or rotation schedule
- Assist Artisan(s) with electrical duties and daily operations
- Carry tools, equipment, and provide general support
- Maintain and safeguard tools and equipment
- Disassemble and reassemble electrical components using hand tools
- Install and support conduit systems, including threading and securing brackets
- Inspect electrical units for faults such as loose connections or damaged insulation
- Maintain work areas according to mine standards and procedures
- Comply with the Mine Health and Safety Act and company safety regulations
