Artisan Assistant Job Description
The successful candidates will support the Fitter with:
• Maintenance and repairs at GWK silo facilities
• Mechanical builds and installations
• Electrical troubleshooting and inspections
• Preventative maintenance tasks
This is a hands-on role requiring physical fitness and frequent travel between silo sites.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this Artisan Assistant position, you must have:
• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
• Strong mechanical and electrical experience (essential)
• Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use hand tools (grinders, drills, spanners, test meters)
• Physical fitness (comfortable working at heights and confined spaces)
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Ability to follow safety procedures
Advantageous Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license
• Trade certificate
• Welding, fitting, cutting, and fabrication experience

Duties and Responsibilities
As an Artisan Assistant, you will:
