Glencore is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Artisan Aid (Fitter) for a fixed-term contract at its Steelpoort operations in Limpopo. This role is ideal for individuals with solid mining and plant maintenance experience who are eager to support artisans in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality mechanical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist qualified Artisans with installation, repair, servicing, and maintenance of mechanical equipment in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Identify equipment faults and abnormalities and report findings to the responsible Artisan
• Provide daily feedback on section performance and maintenance activities
• Assist with section inspections, maintenance checks, and condition monitoring
• Support the execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Full N2 Certificate, including relevant trade theory
• Applicable Artisan Aider / Artisan Aid Certificate
• Proven experience as an Artisan Aid (Fitter) within a mining and plant environment
• Medically fit to work in surface and underground mining operations
• Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance practices and mining safety standards

• Good communication and reporting abilities
• High attention to detail and safety awareness
