Gold One Group Limited is looking for an Assistant Boilermaking candidate to support its Engineering Department at the Modder East operation. This role is ideal for individuals with basic boilermaking experience who want to grow within a structured mining environment. The position involves assisting artisans, maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting boilermaking tasks in both surface and underground areas.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 10, 11, 12 or equivalent qualification
• Proficient in English and at least one other official South African language
• Knowledge of boilermaking processes (advantageous)
• 1–2 years’ experience in boilermaking within a mining or industrial environment (essential)
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Strong verbal communication skills
• South African citizenship
• Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities
• Work according to a shift cycle or rotational schedule
• Assist artisans with boilermaking duties, including carrying hand tools, equipment, and providing operational support
• Maintain and safely store tools and equipment
• Perform allocated boilermaker shop duties and related tasks as required
• Ensure good housekeeping in and around the work area
• Maintain work areas in line with mine standards, procedures, and safety practices
