Gold One Group Limited is looking for a motivated and reliable Assistant Boilermaker to join the Engineering team at Modder East Operations in Springs, Gauteng. The successful candidate will assist artisans in daily boilermaking tasks, maintain tools, and ensure a safe and clean working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 1–2 years of boilermaking experience in a mining or industrial environment who want to grow within a leading mining company.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
• Proficient in English (and at least one other official South African language)
• Knowledge of boilermaking is advantageous
• 1–2 years’ experience in boilermaking within a mining or industrialized environment (essential)
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Good verbal communication skills
• South African citizenship required
• Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities
• Work shifts in line with operational requirements
• Assist artisans with daily tasks, including carrying toolboxes, hand tools, and equipment
• Maintain and safely store tools and equipment
• Perform boilermaker shop duties and related tasks as assigned
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the work area
• Ensure compliance with mine safety standards, procedures, and practices
