Verigreen Packaging (Pty) Ltd, a leader in innovative packaging solutions, is seeking a Process Technician – EBM to join our dynamic team at our Durban facility.
The main purpose of this role is to provide first-line operational support to ensure product quality standards are maintained and production efficiency targets are consistently met.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a Process Technician – EBM, your responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring proper machine start-up and shutdown procedures are followed.
• Managing colour and resin material changes according to the production plan.
• Ensuring preforms are produced according to quality specifications.
• Optimizing and monitoring machine process parameters and cycle times to stay within set guidelines.
• Performing basic troubleshooting for processing, quality, and technical issues.
• Executing setups, material changes, and colour changes.
• Performing daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance.
• Compiling shift reports and conducting proper shift handovers with all relevant updates.
• Accurately capturing downtime codes and reporting causes in ProLink.
• Investigating and reporting machine downtimes during shifts.
• Assisting the production team to achieve daily targets.
• Ensuring high levels of housekeeping and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Capturing process parameters and maintaining accurate production records.
• Collaborating with the production team to resolve operational issues.
• Working closely with shift QCs to approve first-off product quality.
• Reporting technical requirements and equipment breakdowns to the process engineer and maintenance coordinator.
