Eastern Chrome Mines is seeking an Operator (Plant) Snr to join the Technical Support Services team in Steelpoort.
This role requires an experienced operator with strong decision-making skills and the ability to ensure smooth plant operations in line with production and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Report directly to the Shift Supervisor
Monitor and operate the PGM Plant, ensuring production targets are consistently met or exceeded
Operate flotation plant and thickeners
Conduct reagent and density checks
Unblock slurry tanks, pipes, and pumps when required
Take and process production samples
Maintain general housekeeping standards
Ensure compliance with HSEC system and company policies
Implement management decisions, legal requirements, and company standards
Work independently and demonstrate effective communication
Be available to work rotational shifts (Fulco system)
Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric
Minimum 2 years’ plant working experience
Previous experience in a PGM recovery plant or similar process
Proven ability to achieve personal work goals and objectives
Computer literacy is essential
Must be medically fit and able to work at heights
