Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Artisan Diesel Mechanic Gr2 to join our team in Witbank, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of diesel machinery, vehicles, and equipment to ensure consistent operational availability.
Key Responsibilities
Service and maintain diesel machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
Diagnose faults, implement solutions, and complete all job administration within deadlines.
Attend to breakdowns at customer sites and provide roadside assistance.
Conduct monthly site inspections and preventative maintenance.
Ensure required spares are in stock and assist with technical investigations.
Monitor unit performance against targets, draft reports, and implement corrective actions.
Implement and monitor SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) practices in line with company standards.
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and service providers.
Contribute to team activities and support company-driven initiatives.
Manage expenditure within budget and ensure financial accountability.
Participate in self-development and capacity-building activities.
Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal).
Valid Code 14 (EC) Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License.
2–3 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
