About the Opportunity
The City of Ekurhuleni is inviting unemployed residents to apply for a Technical Assistant role within the Real Estate and Development Planning department. This is a temporary six-month opportunity aimed at providing valuable work experience and community impact.
Minimum Requirements
• N2 Engineering qualification – Essential.
• South African Citizen.
• Resident of the City of Ekurhuleni – Must specify Ward Number.
• Unemployed at the time of application.
• Must be placed in Wadeville.
• Ability to communicate effectively with communities.
• Not currently participating in the CoE Job Creation Programme.
• Willingness to learn and take instructions from supervisors.
Core Responsibilities
• Assist in facility and community-based programmes and awareness campaigns through safety data collection.
• Ensure work is completed in line with governance and legislative requirements.
• Complete assigned tasks on time and within set deadlines.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to programme participation rules – applicants can only apply for one category.
Important Notes
• Individuals currently involved in other job creation projects are not eligible until a six-month cooling-off period has passed after their last participation.
• Candidates may be asked to submit proof of NQF level for their qualifications.
