Job Overview
Rand Water is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to fill the position of Artisan Assistant Mechanical. The successful candidate will assist with general maintenance and fabrication on plant and pipeline equipment.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric) or N3 qualification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with tools
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Assisting artisans with tools and equipment
• Cleaning tools, machinery, and equipment
• Performing general housekeeping duties in the workshop
• Loading and offloading tools and equipment by hand
Required Knowledge
• Basic safety procedures and workplace safety practices
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in maintenance and fabrication
Essential Skills
• Good communication skills
• Strong cleaning and maintenance skills
Key Competencies and Attitude
• Strong customer service orientation
• High attention to detail
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment
