As a Chemical Process Operator Learner, you will undergo structured theoretical and practical training, designed to equip you with the necessary skills to work in the field of chemical processing and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience and will be responsible for:
• Conducting basic first-line fault finding and identifying operational defects.
• Applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols at all times.
• Understanding equipment failure modes and reporting defects accordingly.
• Assisting in the quality assurance processes to ensure consistent product standards.
• Performing routine plant inspections, taking operational logs, and reporting irregularities.
• Reporting unsafe conditions and at-risk behaviours to the SPC, Process Artisan, or Foreman.
• Conducting sampling procedures as per production schedules.
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene in the work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science.
• Must pass a pre-employment medical examination and physical fitness assessment.
• Valid South African driver’s license.
• Must be able to work safely and independently in a high-risk industrial environment.
