Novus Print Montague Gardens, a leader in the printing and manufacturing industry, is hiring a Semi-Skilled Electrician (Artisan Assistant) to support our Electrical Artisans in the Technical and Engineering Department. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman: Electrical and contribute to the maintenance and repair of electrical systems while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform basic electrical repairs, including lighting and equipment maintenance.
• Assist qualified artisans with electrical tasks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine checks to verify the efficient and safe operation of machinery.
• Carry out repairs in the electrical workshop.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the workshop.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Qualifications
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• N3 – N4 Technical Certificate
Experience
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment.
• Extensive experience using hand and power tools.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong problem-solving skills with practical engineering knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable team player with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Computer literacy.
